Mr. Moberg was awarded the 2009 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region IV National Festival Faculty Fellowship in Playwriting. This fellowship is awarded annually to a single faculty member in the southeastern United States and is intended to recognize outstanding achievement as a teaching artist.
David Moberg received his BA in Theatre from Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota under the direction of Dr. Delmar Hansen. He earned his MFA from the University of Florida under the direction of Dr. David Shelton. (Go Gators!)
Mr. Moberg has served a two year term on the FCCAA Executive Committe as the FCCAA Theatre Division Advisor. He is also a recipient of the Florida Theatre Conference Distinguished Career Award and the IRSC President's Cup for Excellence.
Mr. Moberg enjoys saltwater fishing, scuba diving, spear fishing, deer and hog hunting, hiking, horseback riding....and any other outdoor activity. David's oldest son, Mikhal Moberg, recently completed a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Central Florida and is employed at an environmental engineering firm in Lakeland, Florida. Mikhal's wife, Samantha, recently completed her Master's degree in Educational Counseling at UCF and is employed in the Orlando area. David's son, Devin Moberg, recently graduated from the University of Florida's School of Pharmacy and is married to Katie White (Moberg). Devin and Katie are both employed as pharmacists in the Orlando area. In August of 2011 David became the proud grandfather of two grandsons, William Moberg, (Mikhal and Samantha) and Little David (Devin and Katie.)
